SF Design Center Wedding

Clarence and Philana began their day with a first look in a quiet area of the Parc 55 hotel.  After this exciting moment we hopped into a mercedes shuttle van and off we went to take wedding party photos at the Palace of Fine Arts in the Presidio.

Clarence and Philana's friends were a lot of fun and very welcoming, I felt like I already knew them and it showed in their posing.

Photographers have to use every trick in the book to make a popular tourist destination look empty, in this case framing the couple against a wall and removing people out of the background in Photoshop worked well.  We also made it look like it was dusk in the early afternoon with special lighting equipment.

Clarence and Philana are big into anime and we luckly found these characters to join our portrait shoot!

Here is one of my favorite locations to shoot portraits at in San Francisco.  Over the years you can see the city skyline change, this time the Salesforce Tower is prominent.

We arrived back at the San Francisco Design Center just in time to photograph a few portraits before the guests arrived.

...and photographed a few more portraits after the ceremony.

At dusk we used some lighting equipment to make it look later in the evening than it actually was, we were going for a dramatic lighting effect.

At the end of the night we made another creative portrait using a trick from my creative bag, I used a mirror and aimed lights directly into my lens to achieve this look.
